On June 24th, 2009, Engage As You Age’s Founder & Owner Ben Lewis “pitched” the business live in front of over 150 people at San Francisco’s Action Theater (inside the Metereon). Engage As You Age won both awards given out that night as it was the audience’s choice as well as the top choice of the 3 judges (executives from Comcast, Kiva.org and Ideo). Both the audience and the judges were voting on what business they’d invest in based upon the presentation.

Engage As You Age’s prize for winning the event is that it will be featured in a 5-minute television interview on CBS 5, a San Francisco Bay Area affiliate. This interview will take place in July and details about it will be published in this blog as soon as we learn more.
In addition to the 5-minute interview, Engage As You Age will also be 1 of 4 businesses competing in the finals of the contest at the Biz Tech Conference in October. The winner of that contest will have a 30-minute television program air on CBS 5 that will focus on the business.
Engage As You Age strives to create and cultivate intergenerational connections between smart, punctual and passionate people who share interests with homebound seniors.
