An Engage As You Age activity specialist who works full time as a journalist this month won a writing award from the Northern California Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
Stacey Palevsky was the recipient of the best feature writing award for a non-daily publication for her story about the relationship between a Jewish spiritual caregiver and an elderly patient facing the end of her life. The judges said, “Timely and moving, the well-crafted story demonstrates a spiritual depth often missing in stories about death and dying.”
