"FLOH Club" ads (featuring a video of Florence) still appear on KYOU TV (Fox) in Iowa, FWIW, giving a telephone number to call (no web site). I don't need this service, but if I did, I would first try a more established company that has a track record of success.

Just an FYI - in case you wanted to know. Support.com and Floh dissolved mainly due to numbers. Many seniors do need the services Floh club offered, but too many didn't actually avail themselves of this service. As someone who worked for that client, I know many of the customers who had our service enjoyed the access. We had special training with helping with mundane things like signing up for a facebook account, installing Yahoo Messenger, etc. WE didn't need training in these realms, but we had bullet points we had to hit when we showed things to the customers. Floh Club was a great idea, but in the numbers game of big business, it just didn't pan out.

This information is supported by several other articles I have run across doing research on what is best for my parents. It is also pretty logical. As my grandmother used to say: "it is better to wear out than rust out."

This is extremely disappointing to me, as my folks need computer help and I thought this was the solution. What's totally bizarre is, I did this search because I just saw an ad for Floh Club in May 2011! How can that be? They're offline.
